I put stuff in ipfs and then it will be available forever.

I think that with all the hype of NFT and stuff, people tend to believe that ipfs is a magical storage that will be available everywhere and anytime and that nft put on it will live forever.

ipfs is not at all this magical stuff. You definitely add a file in a ipfs node locally in your computer and then break your computer. The data will be lost.
